Chester Music Society Concert 2024
Once again, the Chester Music Society have invited Chester Guitar Circle to perform in their 'Showcase Concert' Series.
This was on Wednesday November 27th, 7.30 at St Mary's Creative Space, St Mary's Hill, Chester CH1 2DW
The first half featured members of the Circle performing a selection of solos, duets and trios.
After the interval, CHUVA, a folk/classical ensemble, thrilled us with their blend of punchy Balkan grooves and reimagined classical works. Whilst studying at the Royal Northern College of Music, they discovered a shared passion for chamber and folk. Borna originally hails from Croatia, George from England and Rafael from Latin America. The result is an interesting mix of different musical backgrounds and cultures, and an overall desire to explore music from all over the world.
